Flying Visits pt1-Marrakesh

As I said before I was going to take full advantage of this year and make sure I got to do what I do best, go jet setting!! See new places, meet new people and learn lots of wonderful new things! My 1st stop in this cramped fun filled week was Morocco Marrakesh, the city which sparked my new found obsession with cobalt blue. With a 4am wake-up call to start my adventure we got on the first flight to Marrakesh. 
During my 4 days there we managed to go on a couple of excursions the 1st was in the Ourika Valley in the Atlas Mountains a wonderful weaving world of small shisha dens and Morrocan tea tents all in crammed up through a valley of waterfalls and and stoney passage ways. In total there where 7 waterfalls of which i got to see 3 as the instructor informed us it would take all day to climb up to the top as the passages quickly turned into narrow and steep rock faces. 
The 3rd day we went on our second excursion to Essaouira fisherman village on the coast of Morocco as we unfortunately missed our bus for Ouarzazate (an area which is largely used for its  scenery in films). On our 4 hour journey from Marrakesh to Essaouira we stopped in good old tourist fashion at every smelly, herby and spicy pit stop. The most bizarre of sighting was of the goats quite casually munching in and all about the trees in the middle of no where. 
After a jam packed 4 days of markets, teas, tangines and excursions we had to leave for London...

Recently I worked with Photographer Stephen Edwards on a shoot to style an promote my Ebay store of all those clothes lurking at the back of my wardrobe. Whilst waiting on getting everything ready and set up for sale I thought I would have some fun and play about with collaging the images Stephen took for me. My Favorite Hue of Blue

Finally we are in this new fashion era where electric and neon colours can be comfortably coordinated with classic stylish outfits. Since this blast of bright yet elegant style has been flashing in front of my eyes I have been utterly obsessed with COBALT BLUE. I've been mulling a great deal over what one of these key pieces I may have to venture for myself, whether its an accessory to an outfit or a main piece. Whilst finding it hard to refrain I have to make sure I don't let myself go over board when indulging in this new obsession I have with this colour!

Holidays are coming...

After a well spent summer holiday, from about mid May to August, of doing sweet fuck all due to being stuck in with the unforgiving and shite sporadic Glasgow weather I finally got to see some REAL sunshine!! It all came too close to having my first summer holiday in Scotland. Luckily enough my man and I managed to get a week out in España, Mallorca. That weeks injection of 35+ degree heat and being sucked out of my cat lady status definitely was what I needed to get back on track with my creations. It has become my aim for this year to do what I do best, gain inspiration through traveling.  Wish me luck!!
